Bart & Tea
5 July 2025
In the book of my memory, On the first page
That is the day, When I first met you,
The words are written: ‘Here begins a new life.’
— inspired by Dante Alighieri, La Vita Nuova
We invite you to witness as we exchange our vows and unite in marriage, surrounded by those who have supported and loved us. The ceremony will take place at Veme Church (Kirkeveien 3, 3534 Sokna, Norway) at 14:30 on the 5 July 2025. Following the ceremony, aperitifs and light refreshments will be served at Kleivstua, with the reception commencing around 18:00. The celebration will continue with music and dancing into the night, concluding at 03:00.
Rehearsal Dinner – an Evening with Grilled Food
We warmly welcome our guests who wish to extend the celebration to join us for a full weekend at Kleivstua. We are gathering for a rehearsal dinner at 19:00 on the 4 July, which includes a relaxed dinner with grilled dishes, drinks, and time to mingle. The dinner is NOK 600 (excluding drinks) and is included in the weekend package.
Dress Code
We would love for our guests to dress in elegant formalwear to celebrate this special day with us. The dress code is Formal Attire (Black Tie Optional). Men are welcome to wear a tuxedo but may also opt for a dark suit with a tie or bowtie. Women are welcome to wear an elegant evening gown, cocktail dress or pant suit.
For those who own a Bunad, you are more than welcome to wear it—we would be honored to have Norway’s national attire represented on our wedding day.
The wedding will take place in peak summer, but as Norwegian weather can be highly unpredictable, we recommend bringing an extra layer for comfort.
For our guests staying the full weekend, you are welcome to wear the same outfit on both days. The dress code for the rehearsal dinner is more relaxed than the main event, so feel free to dress in something smart and weather-appropriate – especially if it’s a warm and sunny evening.
Toastmaster
Any guest who wishes to make a speech, toast, or other contribution on our special day is kindly asked to contact our toastmaster, Jeroen, at [email protected] no later than 31 May.
To help the evening flow smoothly, we kindly ask that all contributions be kept to a maximum of 3 minutes.
